Early 1898 Japanese Canteen with Oxalic acid anodized finish
An Early 1898 Japanese canteen with an oxalic acid anodized finish in mint condition.
This round cylindrical design was produced at the turn of the century and referred to as the
1896 type. This example is near mint with a finish that was called “almite” which was produced
from an oxalic acid anodizing process. This canteen is in mint condition and looks to have
never been used. The cork stopper has some deterioration but is still in good shape.
A very rare canteen!       JC-104       $125    Reduced
